The Vego Garden In-Ground Worm Composter makes sustainable and efficient gardening a breeze by turning your organic waste into rich, nutrient-dense garden bed material. Simply dig a hole in the ground of your Vego Garden, bury the Worm Composting Bin, fill with organic waste and worms, and let nature do the work. It's that simple!
Vermicomposting
Start vermicomposting inside your existing raised garden beds! Meant to be buried into the soil of your raised bed, this in-ground worm composter allows worms to break down organic waste (kitchen scraps, paper, etc) into nitrogen-rich compost you can then harvest for your garden, hassle-free.
Sustainability
Of America’s nearly 300 millions tons of yearly waste, only about 32% is composted or recycled, according to the EPA. So, how can we make composting easier and raise that conversion rate? The answer, it turns out, is worms! Vermicomposting is much faster than traditional methods, it only takes 2-3 months, and the in-bed design makes it more convenient than ever.
Dimensions
Bury the composter 11 inches deep and fill it only about 5 gallons full, so the small holes in the top are exposed for crucial air circulation and odor control. Mound the soil at the site of the composter, so that it is elevated above the rest of the bed. Use 2-3 composters in larger beds to create enough worm castings.
Tips
To ensure proper airflow inside the composter, make sure to only bury the composter up to the ridge, leaving the sections of small air holes exposed as shown here.
